Labor Day 2013

NYS Labor Day Events 2013

The Labor Movement in New York State has much to be proud of this year.  From raising the state’s minimum wage and securing a long overdue increase in unemployment benefits to organizing victories throughout the state, there were many successes.  But, as always, there is clearly unfinished business and new challenges ahead.

On Labor Day, we join together to celebrate our accomplishments as a movement as well as the contributions of workers to the strength of our country, state, and local communities.  We also celebrate our commitment to one another, and rededicate ourselves to the never-ending fight for social and economic justice for all men and women.

This year, show your solidarity and the pride you have in being a union member by joining your sisters and brothers at a Labor Day celebration near you.
