It is thanks to help of the New  York State AFL-CIO and the entire labor community that my office has been able to successfully combat wage theft and win justice for working families. With them by my side I look forward to spending the next four years fighting to make our state even stronger. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman

“From securing seven figure settlements for underpaid taxi drivers to prosecuting unscrupulous construction contractors for prevailing rate violations, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has stepped up time and time again to protect hardworking New Yorkers,” said Mario Cilento, President of the New York State AFL-CIO.  “What is most gratifying is that so many of these cases were the result of collaboration with labor.  Attorney General Schneiderman knows that unions are an essential partner in the fight for fairness for all workers.”

Attorney General Schneiderman said, “I am incredibly honored to have the support of the New York State AFL-CIO.  They speak with the combined voices of two and a half million members and family members, and when they speak the rest of New York listens.  It is thanks to help of the New  York State AFL-CIO and the entire labor community that my office has been able to successfully combat wage theft and win justice for working families. With them by my side I look forward to spending the next four years fighting to make our state even stronger.”

Members will be contacted on the job and at home through member mailings, worksite flyers, phone bank operations and a “labor-to-neighbor” program, where union members visit other members in the area to discuss a particular race.
