Norma Chrisman

Norma Chrisman has been a member of New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and the Mohawk Valley Community College Professional Association (MVCC PA) since 2002.   Norma is currently the President of the MVCC PA, since 2013, representing faculty and non-teaching professional at MVCC’s campuses.  She is the first non-teaching professional to serve in this role where she possesses the ability to flourish amidst adversity and uncertainty in the current climate facing unions; locally, statewide and nationally. 

Outside of her work with the MVCC PA, Norma serves as the Executive Vice President of the CNY Labor Council and Campaign Cabinet Member for the United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica area.
