We, the residents who live and raise our families near the Momentive facility in Waterford NY and concerned allies across the country, ask the leadership of Momentive, Apollo, on behalf of the community, to take quick action to reach a fair agreement with employees and end the strike at this plant. Operating this chemical facility with less experienced or inexperienced replacement workers puts the community at risk. We raise and educate our children here, breathe the air, and drink the water. We demand that the health and lives of our children be valued over profits.
The strikers are our neighbors, our friends, and our family. They deserve a contract with fair wages and benefits that reflect the hard work and sacrifices they have made over the years. The community deserves to know that the best skilled and experienced workers are manning the machinery and processes inside.
