Labor for Pete Harckham Event
New York State Senator Pete Harckham will be receiving endorsements for his re-election from the New York State AFL-CIO and a number of other labor unions and labor groups during a news conference at Noon TOMORROW—Wednesday, September 16—at United Association (UA) Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 21, 1024 McKinley Street, Peekskill, NY.
Mario Cilento, president of the New York State AFL-CIO, will be speaking at the event, which will be hosted by Thomas Carey, president of the Westchester Putnam Central Labor Body and business agent for UA Local 21.
Among the labor unions and groups that will be endorsing Harckham at the event: International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Communications Workers of America (CWA), New York State United Teachers (NYSUT), International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Teamsters, Public Employees Federation (PEF), 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, New England Regional Council of Carpenters (NERCC), Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), 32BJ SEIU, Transport Workers Union (TWU) and Westchester Putnam Building and Construction Trades Council.
Representatives from New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA), both of which have endorsed Harckham already, will be in attendance as well.
