Individuals who are employed as essential employees who directly interact with the public while working, including but not limited to:

Laundry and Dry Cleaning Workers Automotive Service and Repair Workers
Mail and Shipping Workers Bank Tellers and Workers
Maintenance and Janitorial/Cleaning Workers
Child Care Workers
Retail Workers at Essential Businesses (e.g. Client-Facing Case Managers and Coordinators
Grocery Stores, Pharmacies, Convenience Counselors (e.g. Mental Health, Addiction,
Stores, Gas Stations, Hardware Stores) Youth, Vocational, Crisis, etc.)
Security Guards and Personnel Delivery Workers
Dentists and Dental Hygienists
Social Workers
Essential Construction
Workers at Occupied Residences or Buildings
Transit Workers (e.g. Airports, Railways, Buses, and For-Hire Vehicles)
Faith-Based Leaders (e.g. Chaplains, Clergy Members)
Trash and Recycling Workers
Field Investigators/Regulators for Health and Safety
Utility Workers
Food Service Workers
Funeral Home Workers
Hotel/Motel Workers

The NYS DOL has opened a website to take COVID-19 complaints. Click here. You may file a complaint for any of the following reasons:

1). You qualify for COVID-19 paid sick leave and your employer refuses to pay it.
2). You are being directed to work at a non-essential business.
3). Your employer has failed to pay your earned sick pay or paid time off.
4). Your employer has failed to pay your earned wages or pay for all of the hours you worked.
5). Your employer has threatened or fired you for reasons related to COVID-19.
6). Your employer is forcing you to work when you are sick.
7). You know about a business that is non-essential and is operating.
