Labor Day 2026: Standing Up For Working People
Labor Day is a celebration of the power and solidarity of the union movement. This year, we’re using that power and solidarity to take back our country for working people. We are mobilizing to elect pro-worker candidates who are with us; not with the billionaires, CEOs, and elites.
This weekend is a moment to recommit to our fight for worker power, for good jobs, for technology that works for us, and for solidarity to protect the rights and freedoms of all workers. Here's how you can get involved:
- Register to vote, and make sure your friends and co-workers are also registered.
- Sign up to volunteer for a labor walk or phone bank in support of labor's endorsed candidates.

Our #UnionStrong candidates need your support in the GENERAL ELECTION! Join us as we make phone calls for our Union Strong candidates! You can join us in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day. In the evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays you can make calls from the comfort of your home (and on a zoom room with your fellow union siblings!) For in person, all you need is your cell phone plus your laptop/tablet. We have a limited number of laptops available for your use. We will provide training at the beginning of the session to ensure everyone has the confidence to start talking to our fellow union members about why voting in this election is so important.

**Our #UnionStrong candidates need you!** Join the Central New York Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO as we make calls to union members across Central New York in support of our AFL-CIO endorsed candidates in the November 3 General Election. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or making calls for the first time, everyone is welcome! All you need to participate is: - A cell phone - A laptop, desktop computer, or tablet - A few hours to help us turn out union members this election! We’ll meet on Zoom and provide a quick training at the beginning of each phone bank before we start making calls. We’ll walk you through everything you need to know and be available throughout the phone bank to answer questions. The Zoom link and additional instructions will be emailed to registered participants prior to each phone bank. When union members stand together, our voices are stronger.
