Equal Rights Are on the Ballot
Currently, the New York State Constitution only protects against racial & religious discrimination.
New Yorkers have the opportunity to expand those protections to include ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and pregnancy by voting in favor of Proposal One, the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). The ERA would also protect reproductive healthcare and autonomy.
Flip your ballot and vote YES on Proposal One: the Equal Rights Amendment to ensure equal rights for all individuals and protection from discrimination in the workplace and beyond.
Vote for Pro-Worker Candidates
How you vote is a personal decision. The New York State AFL-CIO researched the candidates on the ballot and recommends these as the best choices for working New Yorkers.
Get Out the Union Strong Vote
Union members across New York State are working hard to educate union workers in their communities about Proposal One and the pro-worker candidates on the ballot. You can help by participating in a labor walk or phone bank in your area. See the list of upcoming labor walks and phone banks here.
