UPDATE (6/27/23): The bargaining committees of IBEW Local 3 and WESCO reached an agreement that resolves the issues that lead to the strike. The strike has ended.

Earlier this week members of the Supply Division of IBEW Local #3 began striking at WESCO International, Inc.

Despite profiting $1.4 million last year, WESCO is shamefully proposing a contract to their workers that effectively cuts pay and underfunds the pension and medical funds.

New York’s Union Movement stands in solidarity with our IBEW Local 3 siblings who have been given no choice but to withhold their labor until a fair contract is reached. The New York State AFL-CIO has issued a letter of support for the workers and will provide the full resources of the Federation for as long as necessary.

You can support our siblings on strike at WESCO by volunteering to walk a picket line. Contact the IBEW Local 3 Supply & Manufacturing Department at 718-591-4000 ext. 803 for more information and to sign up for picket line shifts.

You can also show your support by calling the company to demand they come back to the bargaining table, agree to fully fund the ESF pension and medical plan, and overturn proposed overtime cuts.
