Albany - The New York State AFL-CIO, which represents 2.5 million union members, is pleased the National AFL-CIO has endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento said, “I am proud that our friend, a true champion for the middle class is labors endorsed candidate for President. Hillary worked closely with our local affiliates on behalf of working men and women throughout the state of New York when she served with such distinction as a United States Senator.“Throughout that time she demonstrated her commitment to working people on countless occasions, supporting those who sought to raise the standard of living and quality of life for themselves and their families.“Hillary also led the fight for what eventually became the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act to aid first responders, recovery workers and residents.“Simply put, Hillary Clinton is a proven leader who shares our values and concerns.

“As the largest state labor federation in the country, we will coordinate with our brothers and sisters across the labor movement to mobilize our members to ensure Hillary Clinton is elected President of the United States.”
