Nineteen years ago we declared as a country that we would never forget those that perished in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. We fought for benefits for the thousands of workers who became ill and sadly died from 9/11 related illnesses. Today, while we pay tribute to so many souls lost since that tragic day we remind those still suffering that there is health care and compensation programs available through the now permanent World Trade Center Health Program and the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. It’s the least we can do for the many heroes still struggling today.
