Albany, NY - Today, the New York State AFL-CIO Executive Council voted to endorse Antonio Delgado for Lieutenant Governor.

New York State AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento said, “As a Member of Congress and in his brief tenure as Lieutenant Governor, Antonio has demonstrated a unique grasp of the issues important to our members and articulated a commitment to improving their lives. “In addition, he has shown that he will be a valuable partner to our endorsed candidate for Governor—Kathy Hochul.”

"It means the world to me to have the support of the New York State AFL-CIO. I know the sacrifices that union members and the organizations they are a part of make every day, and I recognize the value of the work union members bring to all New Yorkers." said Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado. "I look forward to continuing to be a partner with the New York State AFL-CIO in supporting safety and health protections, worker rights, and equity for all working families."

Cilento added, “The state federation will coordinate with our affiliates to educate our members statewide on the importance of continuing to have the dedicated team of Kathy Hochul and Antonio Delgado on our side.”
