Albany - The New York State AFL-CIO today announced the early endorsements of U.S. Representatives Jerry Nadler (D – NY 10), Carolyn Maloney (D – NY 12) and Louise Slaughter (D – NY 25) for reelection. NYS AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento said, “All three of these candidates understand the priorities of the 2.5 million hardworking men and women of the NYS AFL-CIO. They have demonstrated through their voting records a commitment to fight hard for issues important to middle class families including ensuring good jobs stay here in our state. Nowhere has this been more evident than in their advocacy against job-killing trade deals, like the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). “With our early endorsements in place, we can now begin a grassroots campaign to get our members to the polls and send Representatives Nadler, Maloney and Slaughter back to Washington.” added Cilento. The NYS AFL-CIO represents 170,000 working men and women in the 10th, 12th and 25th Congressional Districts.
