Legislation that restores parity for Tier 5 and 6 public employees with Tier 4:

  • Reduce and standardize employee contributions.
  • Restore ability to retire at age 55 with 30 years of service.
  • Eliminate caps on overtime and other pay in the calculation of pension benefits.
  • Eliminate the social security offset for all titles still subject to it.
  • Lower penalties on pension benefits for retiring prior to normal age.
  • Restore incentives that reward longevity.
